The Midwives are based at 175 Preston Road, Brighton. Maternity services are usually shared between your Doctor and the Community Midwife. You can do a home test or several of the local pharmacies can do the test for you. If you are pregnant then make an appointment to see your Doctor. This early appointment gives you an opportunity to discuss your hopes and fears and to plan the care you would like to receive. The Community midwives are happy to support most women who would like a home birth.
Once you have found out that you are pregnant, please make an appointment with the Doctor who will arrange for you to be seen by the Midwives. Your first antenatal appointment is usually at 8 weeks gestation.
