Appointments

Making an Appointment

Currently all appointments are avalibale via face-to-face, telephone, or video consultation.

You can make an appointment with any one of the doctors by:

  • Coming into Reception
  • Contacting us by telephone
  • Booking Online via the NHS App or Patient Access

The Practice philosophy is that we like to take time when seeing our patients. For this reason you may experience delays during some surgeries. The Receptionists will advise you of any such extended waiting time.

eConsult

We are now offering online consultations through eConsult Monday to Friday.

If you think you need an appointment or you want general advice, self-help or an administrative query, we would like you to complete a quick online consultation so we have all the information we need to address your needs and arrange the appropriate care and advice.

We will usually get back to you before the end of the next working day, however, this can vary depending on the urgency of the matter and workload (Monday to Friday excluding public holidays).

Shortly before your appointment time we will text you a link which you click to join.

Enhanced Access Service

We are delighted to announce this new service at the Practice where we can book patient’s appointments on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays at alternative locations.

These include remote (telephone) and face-to-face appointments with GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists and Healthcare Assistants.

This service is for new, recent medical conditions such as:

  • Minor illness symptoms
  • A new minor injury (not requiring urgent medical attention)
  • A problem that can easily be resolved by prescribing a short course of medication (e.g. an infection); or
  • Flare up of an existing condition that doesn't require a patient's usual GP

Nurse appointments are offered at weekends and we have a Menopause Clinic once a month.

To find out more, please click the following link:

Booking of these appointments will be through the Practice and you will receive a text message confirming the time and location for face-to-face appointments.

If you need to cancel your appointment, you can reply to the appointment reminder text or you can call 01273 003330

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the Surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling Reception as soon as possible.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

It may not be your registered GP that visits you, as we have the services of a Roving GP but we will let you know who will be visiting you once we have determined that a Home Visit is necessary.

You can also be visited at home by a Central Community Nursing Team via our PCN  if you are referred by your GP.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as possibe by calling Reception.

Teaching

As a Practice, we assist in the teaching of students from the Brighton and Sussex Medical School. If a student is present during your consultation, you will be advised when you book in at Reception. If you would prefer the student not to be present, then please let the Doctor know.

Thank you for your support.
